Now Backed by WebSelfStorage & U-Haul

We wanted to let you know that some important changes to Controlled Storage Solutions. We have transitioned from Storable/StorEdge to WebSelfStorage, a new management software system designed to provide a more secure, reliable, and user-friendly experience for our customers.

This new system is a U-Haul–backed platform, which allows us to offer improved account security, smoother payment processing, and better long-term reliability. We believe this upgrade will ultimately make managing your account easier and more secure.

​

What does this mean for you?

​

Because this transition required manually transferring customer account information, I’m asking all preexisting customers to take a moment to review their account details once you you create your new account profile. While I took great care to ensure accuracy, I am still human, and occasional errors may have occurred.

Action required

​

Using your email/phone number on file create a new account here, and please take a few minutes to complete the following:

​

  • Confirm your contact information is correct, if you are uncertain what email or phone number we have on file, please give us a call and we will be happy to confirm it.​

  • Review your unit details

  • Re-enter payment information and/or set up autopay
    (For security reasons, no payment information was transferred to the new system.)

  • Update your insurance information

 

Completing these steps is important to avoid any disruptions to billing or account access.

 

Already have a U-Haul account? Not seeing your unit? Let's add it.

  • Sign into uhaul.com

  • On the Dashboard or Tools (if using the UHAUL app), click on "Find my Storage Unit"

  • Enter primary phone number and unit number.

  • Click Associated Room

 

Important update regarding insurance

​

As part of this transition, insurance coverage will now be required for all customers moving forward.

​

Previously, some long-term customers were grandfathered into older policies and were not required to provide proof of insurance or select coverage through a third-party provider. With the new system, we are standardizing this requirement so that all customers are fully aware of and properly covered.

To meet this requirement, customers will need to do one of the following:

​

  • Provide proof of valid homeowners or renters insurance that includes storage unit coverage, or

  • Select a policy through our new insurance provider, SafeLease

 

For customers who previously had Bader insurance policies, SafeLease has indicated that they will match those legacy policies where applicable. However, due to security and data protection standards, no private insurance information was transferred, and all customers will need to re-submit their insurance details.

 

Please note:

  • Any existing insurance coverage will remain in effect until February 1

  • SafeLease will be sending additional correspondence with more detailed information about coverage options

 

This update is intended to ensure transparency, consistency, and protection for everyone’s stored property.
